Spring Alert!

It's been feeling like spring with the sun shining and the crocuses daring to show themselves through the still-freezing ground!

We're almost into the 6th week of our first Fitness Challenge Bootcamp with CKAY Radio morning host Matt Morris, and CKAY winners Randy Goodridge and Andrea Kobus, who are all reporting great improvements in strength and stamina since beginning the class! Congratulations to all of them for working so hard--rain and shine--they're all winners! It still remains to be seen who will come out showing the best improvement--that person will walk away with the Secret Soak package from the Rockwater Resort, a natural fibre hoody from Windsong Gallery in Sechelt, 4 hours of housekeeping services courtesy of Blissful Home Care in Gibsons and a $100 Gift Certificate from Romantique in Lower Gibsons! One week to go!

The 6-week Fitness Challenge Bootcamp is a great way to get in shape for spring. It includes pre and post bootcamp fitness assessments, lots of one-on-one guidance to accomodate any fitness level, indoor and outdoor elements to give lots of variety and keep you on your toes, and a mix of calesthenic moves, endurance, agility training and stretching.

If you'd like to participate, give me a call--I'm offering morning and evening Bootcamp classes (7 am or 7 pm) 3 days a week. The next class starts March 16!

I'm also teaching a class called Butts & Guts at the Gibsons & Area Recreation Centre. In this class I do some overall strengthening and cardio with a focus on (as the title describes ;-) butts and guts... you can sign up for the next session which starts March 9, at the rec. centre or on-line at

As there is only 1 Butts & Guts class/week offered at the Rec. Centre and people have expressed interest in doing the class twice a week, I am offering the option of doing a class on Thursday evenings (5:30 - 6:30) in my studio on Veterans Road. Please contact me if you are interested in attending this class.

Yoga with Tania Flynn continues on Thursday evenings from 7 pm to 8:15 pm--if you're interested in attending please sign up before the start of the month as space is limited!
